Soft Launch Today

By Byron Warnken, on March 22, 2013

The Injury Lawyer Database has launched.  We use the word “soft” because we are not marketing the site yet.  There are still bugs to get worked out.  We are feverishly working to eliminate them.

Some of the bugs are small, like the use of singular possessive versus a plural possessive.  Some are major, like search.  Right now, if you search John Smith and the injury lawyer is listed as John A Smith, you will not get to where you need to go.  That’s a big problem.  Unless you’re John’s wife or mother, you might not even know his middle initial begins with an A.

We have a lot of small formatting errors as well.  It might be hard to tell, but they’re there.  Like I said, we’re hard at work on it.

Finally, I’ve been thinking a lot about what this blog will be like.  What do we want to write about?  Originally, I was calling it the “Real Lawyer Stats Blog.”  I had planned to comment on lawyer statistics, almost exclusively.  However, since, I have determined InjuryLawyerDatabase.com will likely stay almost exclusively Maryland.  The blog is the Maryland Litigation Blog.  We will talk about … wait for it …  wait for it …

Maryland Litigation.  My names are original.  The goal is, a couple of times per week, to share the latest in Maryland lawsuits getting filed or concluded.  If one lawyer is especially active, we will share that.  If one defendant can’t stop getting sued, we will share that as well.  We might even make real life litigation as interesting as television litigation.  We will also share big decisions, big settlements, and maybe even little decisions and little settlements.  We will also spotlight certain lawyers, defendants, and industries.  Despite the name, we might stray outside of Maryland on occasion, but we will be back quick enough.

We will also educate our readers on the meaning of our statistics and what can be gotten from them.

I’d also like to congratulate Andy, Rob, and, especially, Chad on job’s well done!  There were countless sleepless nights.  We’re not quite where we need to go, but we’re moving ahead.
