Thomas Grzech, attorney handling workers’ comp cases, has had excellent success on behalf of injured worker clients. For the time period measured by the first edition of The Comp Pinkbook, Grzech obtained 140 awards for clients with workplace injuries. His PP and CO awards averaged $22, 991, bringing his recoveries on behalf of clients to over $3.3 million in an 18 month period.
In addition to his success in the aggregate, Grzech has had success with particular injuries and in particular claims. For example, he had the second highest final settlement award in a wrist injury case, obtaining $140,000 for a worker at Richard F Kline Inc. This helped with the highest overall average in final settlements for wrist cases. Thomas Grzech also had the second highest stip (PP award) in an elbow case, and the second highest stip in a case combining back and psychiatric. The latter case saw Grzech get over $300,000 for an injured worker at Whiting-Turner.
Grzech has had cases against employers such as the State of Maryland, the Housing Authority of Baltimore City, the Mayor & City Council of Baltimore, and Good Samaritan Hospital, to name just a few. Nationwide was an insurer he’s faced before.
